About the Event

The Mercian Gathering is one of my all-time favourite camps. A chilled atmosphere with a strong emphasis on spirituality.

Step away from the noise of the gathering and into the quiet conversation beneath it. This walking workshop is an invitation to encounter the magia loci – the living spirit of place – not as an abstract idea, but as a presence you can meet, listen to, and build relationship with.

Together, we’ll walk the land with intention, tuning our awareness to the subtle currents that shape both the landscape and the gathering itself. Through guided practices, simple acts of attention, and moments of stillness, we’ll explore how place speaks – and how we might answer.

This is not about grand gestures or complicated rituals. It’s about learning to notice, to feel, and to engage with the spirits already here: the bones of the land, the breath of the trees, and the ephemeral spirit that arises when people gather with purpose.

Come prepared to walk, to listen, and to step into relationship with the unseen textures of the world around you.

This camp is quite selective in who they allow to attend and you will need to be nominated by someone who already attends.
